8 FIGURE JACKETS

Wrapping Women in
Strength and Success

Through Sisterhood of the 8, we honor the triumphs of women attorneys by sending out jackets for trial—a symbol of excellence—worn by those who have secured 8-figure verdicts. These jackets carry the spirit of victory and serve as a tangible reminder of what’s possible.

It all started with a simple gesture of support—one that would spark a movement.

At a legal conference, Maxey Scherr lent Christy Crowe Childers a jacket. Christy loved it, and when Maxey told her to keep it, she replied, “Okay, but I’m wearing it when we go to trial later this year.”

That moment planted the seed for something bigger.

During their trial, Christy and Maxey wore jackets of all sizes, each symbolizing the strength, confidence, and unwavering support they wanted to pass on to other women attorneys. Their mission? To wrap each other in empowerment and prove that women can—and will—secure 8-figure verdicts.

By the end of their trial, they had done exactly that—winning a powerful 8-figure verdict for their client. To mark the achievement, they had their names and case details embroidered into the jackets before sending them off to the next woman preparing for battle in the courtroom.

When Natanya Brooks went to trial next, she wore one of the jackets. Standing before the judge and jury, she felt the collective strength of the sisterhood behind her.

Now, as more women secure their own 8-figure verdicts, their names and victories are added to the jackets. Each one carries the spirit of the women who fought before, serving as a tangible reminder of what’s possible—not just for the women wearing them but for every female trial attorney ready to step up and make history.

The Sisterhood of the 8 Jacket Program is more than tradition—it’s a legacy.

Will you be the next to add your name?
